- The current score of a football match may be displayed at the top of the bet offer during play. We make best endeavours to ensure that this information is correct. However, as we rely on third parties for this data we cannot guarantee its accuracy. Therefore you understand that you should not rely solely on this information when placing bets.
- By responding to the Bet Offer text you confirm that you are over 18, you are in a geography where using this service is legal and you accept the terms and conditions.
- You understand that the monies shown associated with each Option in the Bet Offer text are total returns containing both the stake and the winnings.
- You also accept that you are responding to the Options offered in the latest Bet Offer text message sent by betNOW. For the avoidance of doubt, only one Bet Offer is ever current for any customer, and that is the most recent one offered. You cannot respond to any previous Bet Offer.
- You understand that the minimum default stake size is £3, but may be set to £5 or £10 either by texting SET STAKE to 89000 or by visiting the Preferences page.
- By responding to a Bet Offer text with a text reply starting with an 'A', 'B' or 'C' (up to 'Z') selection, you accept that you have understood which bet you are placing and have understood the potential return; should you win. You understand that if you select more than one Option from a Bet Offer text, you will place more than one bet (up to 10); for example replying 'A B C' (with each selection separated with a space) to a Bet Offer will place the default stake (£3, £5 or £10) on Option A, the same amount on Option B and the same amount again on Option C, up to a maximum of 10x the default stake (max £100, subject to spending limits) worth of bets from a single Bet Offer.
- You understand that if you have less than your default stake amount in your betNOW balance, and you do not specify a numeric value in either your initial text or selection, then a default stake will be charged to your phone bill (regardless of any numeric value included in the response).
- Vodafone network users: You understand that by including a numeric value in either your initial text or in a reply to a Bet Offer, you will increase the stake from the default (£3, £5 or £10) to the value in the text or to your whole remaining balance. You understand if a value is specified less than the default then a bet will be placed with the default stake. You understand that if a value is specified greater than the total available betNOW balance and less than the Vodafone default maximum (£30), a stake to the value in the text will be charged to your phone bill. You understand that if a value is specified greater than the total available betNOW balance and greater than or equal to the Vodafone default maximum (£30), the stake will either be charged to your phone bill at the Vodafone default maximum (£30) or will be charged to your betNOW balance if said balance was greater than or equal to the Vodafone default maximum (£30) before this transaction.
- T-Mobile, Virgin, O2 and Orange network users: You understand that by including a numeric value in either your initial text or in a reply to a Bet Offer, you will increase the stake from the default (£3, £5 or £10) to the value in the text, to use your whole remaining balance or to one of 3 fixed price points; £3, £5 or £10. You understand if a value is specified less than the default then a bet will be placed with the default stake. You understand that if a value is specified greater than the total available betNOW balance and less than the mobile network default maximum (£10), a stake equal to the greater of i) the value specified rounded down to the nearer of £3 or £5 or ii) your total available betNOW balance, will be placed. In the former case, charged to your phone-bill and in the later, to your betNOW account. You understand that if a value is specified greater than the total available betNOW balance and greater than or equal to the mobile network default maximum (£10), the stake will either be charged to your phone bill at the mobile network default maximum (£10) or will be charged to your betNOW balance if said balance was greater than or equal to the mobile network default maximum (£10) before this transaction.
- Three network users: You understand that by including a numeric value in either your initial text or in a reply to a Bet Offer, you will increase the stake from the default (£3, £5 or £10) to the value in the text or to your whole remaining balance. You understand if a value is specified less than the default then a bet will be placed with the default stake. You understand that if a value is specified greater than the total available betNOW balance and less than the Three default maximum (£10), a stake to the value in the text, rounded down to the nearest 50p will be charged to your phone bill. You understand that if a value is specified greater than the total available betNOW balance and greater than or equal to the Three default maximum (£10), the stake will either be charged to your phone bill at the Three default maximum (£10) or will be charged to your betNOW balance if said balance was greater than or equal to the Three default maximum (£10) before this transaction.
- Your bet will only be accepted if you have responded to the Bet Offer text in a reasonable time. betNOW reserve the right to vary the associated time-out period, however this is currently set to 12 hours. Responses received after this time will not be accepted and an alternative Bet Offer returned.
- It is your responsibility to check that the selection with which you reply represents the bet you have chosen. You will receive a text message confirming your selection. betNOW are not liable for any errors. betNOW will not refund any misplaced bets.
- betNOW text messages are restricted to 160 characters or 304 characters long. On very rare occasions, it may be necessary to truncate the message to ensure the clarity of the Options and message being offered. If this is the case, the last two characters of the text will be '..'. If this is the case, you agree to the standard terms and conditions and you fully understand the Options in Bet Offer.
- On rare occasions, mobile phone networks fail to deliver text messages to their intended destinations or they may arrive in the 'wrong' order. betNOW do no accept responsibility for such network delays.
- You understand that repeatedly replying to the latest Bet Offer with a text starting with a valid selection (A,B,C...) will place multiple bets.
- You understand that a bet has been provisionally accepted by the betNOW service only when a confirmation (betting slip) text is received. This will specify the amount bet and the market on which the bet has been placed. The customer, having sent in his/her selection (A, B or C etc. Optionally followed by an amount), is specifically not considered completion of this transaction. Even after the confirmation (betting slip) has been received, it is possible for network issues to require betNOW to reverse the transaction. If this is the case betNOW will endeavour to inform the customer with a text confirming the reversal.
- All soccer scores displayed within the Bet Offer text are represented as Home team then Away team as per the universally accepted standard. For example, if Chelsea are playing Bolton at home and you request a bet on the 'correct score' market; by texting "Bolton 2 0" to 89000 (interpreted as Bolton to win 2-0), the Bet Offer text will display the bet Option as follows:
Chelsea v Bolton Event Date & Time Correct Score To bet £3 (account) reply a,b,c... a)0-2(returns £15.19) …
2. CHARGES
- betNOW provides an automated facility for the placement of bets. betNOW takes a charge for this service from the stake. By accepting the bet, you understand that charges apply and that the returns you are offered may be different from those offered to another customer.
- betNOW is charged by your mobile network operator for the text messages you are sent. The cost of these text messages is usually accounted for in the charges levied for facilitating the bet. However, if a user makes excessive use of the Bet Offer text (for example, using the service as an 'information service' to simply poll for the odds without ever placing a bet), then betNOW reserve the right to charge for sending text messages to a customer or to bar customers from using the service.
- You understand that your standard mobile network operator charges apply for text messages you send to betNOW.
- betNOW will charge your bet to whichever payment option you have selected in the following order of precedence:
- Your betNOW account if you have sufficient funds to cover the entire bet including any funds deposited from Debit or Credit Cards or from winnings.
- Your phone bill.
3. REVERSALS
- On rare occasions, we may accept a payment from your preferred payment mechanism (your phone bill or your betNOW account) and then fail to place the bet. If this is the case we will credit your betNOW account with the value of your initial bet and inform you of the failure.
- Very occasionally corrections are made to markets after settlement. If this is the case betNOW may need to reverse settlement.
4. LIMITS
- The betNOW service confirms to GamCare guidelines and promotes responsible betting. As betNOW is an entertainment, we have set the limits deliberately low to discourage excessive gambling.
- betNOW reserve the right to vary the limits associated with the service at our discretion and without prior notice.
- Current limits are as follows:
- Phone Bill single bet limit is £10 except for Vodafone where it is £30.
- Phone Bill daily spending limit is £30 for O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin customers and £300 for Vodafone and Three network customers.
- Phone Bill calendar month spending limit is £1000. For new customers on Vodafone and Three the spending limit is reduced to £500 during the first 31 days of using the service.
- Account single bet limit is £150
- Account funding limit per day is £500
- Account funding limit per calendar month is £1,000
5. MARKET AVAILABILITY
- From time to time an individual Market will be suspended. This often happens in play because events occur (such as a goal being scored) that radically alter the odds on offer. Suspending the market reduces the chances of customers placing bets on runners that are no longer valid (for example, betting on exact score 0-0 in soccer, when a goal has just been scored). However, on very rare occasions it is possible for betNOW to accept a bet on an 'impossible' outcome. betNOW accept no liability for any notional losses incurred in this case.
- It is entirely at betNOW's discretion when to make particular markets available.
- The time take to settle markets varies. betNOW endeavours to settle as soon as possible.
